The poor, poor students. I know what they are feeling right now (details will not be provided) - and it is not a nice feeling. The college couldn't be kept open for one more month? Isn't this a breach of contract? It is, at any rate, a breach in justice. A commitment is made to the students and professors - a covenant - and if you can't keep that commitment, you don't inform students in this way at this hour. GAH! ARGH! Can't there even be a last-minute appeal to try to keep the college open for one more month?
I don't imagine anyone in the administration of SCC is pleased, and it must have been a painful decision, but this is being gone about in entirely the wrong way.
